DARECon 2026 is organised by Naas Board Game Club ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Naas, Co. Kildare. You can contact us at: info@darecon.ie
2. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms apply both to membership of Naas Board Game Club and participation in DARECon 2026.
By accessing and using this website, registering for DARECon 2026, or becoming a member of Naas Board Game Club, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. This includes your agreement to receive transactional emails as detailed in Section 5.5 below. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
3. Society Membership
Membership to Naas Board Game Club is currently free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce membership fees in the future with appropriate notice to existing members. Membership benefits and obligations will be communicated separately to members.
4. Event Terms - DARECon 2026
4.1 Event Description
DARECon 2026 is a two-day board games convention organised by Naas Board Game Club, planned for 17 and 18 October 2026 at the Osprey Hotel, Devoy Quarter, Naas West, Naas, Co. Kildare. Specific event details, including activities, duration, and included services will be defined and communicated to ticket holders in advance of the event.
4.2 Age Restrictions
Attendees must be 18 years or older. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times during the event.
4.3 Tickets and Payment
Event admission requires a valid ticket. Ticket prices, terms of sale, refund policies, and cancellation terms will be clearly communicated during the ticket purchasing process and are incorporated into these terms by reference.
4.4 Event Conduct
All attendees must behave respectfully towards other participants, volunteers, and staff. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any individual who engages in disruptive, inappropriate, or illegal behavior.
4.5 Photography and Video
A photographer and/or videographer may be present at DARECon 2026. By purchasing a ticket and attending the event, you acknowledge that photographs and videos may be taken during the event, including general crowd, table, activity, and atmosphere shots.
Naas Board Game Club may use this material for event documentation and promotional purposes, including on our website, social media channels, newsletters, printed materials, and future event publicity. Where identifiable images are processed for these purposes, we will do so in accordance with applicable data protection law, relying on our legitimate interests in promoting and documenting the event where appropriate, and balancing those interests against attendees' rights and freedoms.
If you do not want to be photographed or recorded, or if you object to the use of an identifiable image of you, please inform a member of staff or the photographer on the day. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, including avoiding posed or close-up images of you and considering requests to remove or not publish identifiable images where practicable.
5. Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our separate Privacy Policy which details how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with GDPR.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Naas Board Game Club or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, Naas Board Game Club shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or participation in our events.
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
8. Event Changes and Cancellation
We reserve the right to modify, postpone, or cancel DARECon 2026 due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to health emergencies, venue issues, or insufficient bookings. In case of cancellation, refund policies will be communicated to ticket holders.
9. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Irish law. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of your services should first be addressed by contacting us at info@darecon.ie. We are committed to resolving disputes amicably through direct communication.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website and services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
